Sebastian's Sweet Surprise (AKA Fruity Herbal Perfection)
Sebastian’s Sweet Surprise is a refreshing herbal tea chock full of fruit as delicious and zesty as he is. It also contains a hidden surprise: butterfly pea flower. These delicate flowers native to Southeast Asia provide a rich supply of antioxidants while transforming your tea to a gorgeous indigo blue-purple paradise. Sebastian says, “You’re welcome.”
Unlike most, this tea tastes better the longer you steep it (10 minutes minimum, 20 minutes is better). Personally, I leave the tea steeper in my mug for the entire time I'm drinking it, which can often extend to several hours in an insulated mug while I work on my latest writing project. Each sip is sweeter than the last.
This also makes an excellent iced tea!
All my blends are loose leaf. While I enjoy the convenience of tea bags as much as anyone, the ones available for custom blends are made of plastic, which like all such substances shed tiny microplastic particles when heated. Microplastics contaminate our bodies and water supply, so I made the decision to help the environment and our bodies by sticking with loose leaf.
I hope you can enjoy your tea that much more knowing how healthy it is for you and our world!
INGREDIENTS: peach, apple, mango, pineapple, cherry, strawberry, orange peel, natural peach & papaya flavor, rose petals, butterfly pea flower.
CONTENTS: 4 oz of loose leaf tea (approximately 30 servings).
BREWING INSTRUCTIONS: Brew at 212º for 10-20 minutes, depending on how strong a taste you want. As a mostly fruit tea, it takes longer to pull the sweetness from the fruit, so don't be afraid to let it steep longer. A short steep will provide a very light, airy flavor. A longer steep will add the sweetness and tang.
